Will there be a conflict of interest if I have previously coached the spouse of a potential future client?

If the previous coaching engagement is complete, there is no danger in moving into a contract to coach that former client’s spouse.

The coach will want to focus entirely on what the spouse brings to the engagement, remain confidential as they would with any client, and should something venture into unclear territory, be mindful of it.

The coach should treat this client as she would any other, setting clear boundaries from the beginning.
