I facilitate some ICF accredited coach training programs, can the facilitation/training delivery hours be used towards my credential renewal in any way?

Edited

Yes, if the program teaches Core Competency skills and is accredited by ICF, coaches can use the hours toward their personal credential renewal.

CCEs are divided into two categories - Core Competency hours and Resource Development hours. Core hours include training that is:

1) coach-specific,

2) relates directly to one or more Core Competencies, and

3) helps a coach directly in their work with a client. Everything else is Resource Development (RD) including teaching tools, models, personal development, new science, business development, etc.

Note that coaches don't "need" hours in Resource Development, but they can use up to 16 hours of RD among the 40 total needed to renew the credential.

Yes, you can count facilitation of an ICF accredited training program toward your ICF credential renewal. The training program will need to provide you with a letter on letterhead stating your role with the program, the name of the program you taught, when you taught it, and how many CCE's you received for teaching the course. The letter needs to be written and signed by someone other than yourself.
