What is the grace period for credential renewal?
ICF provides a 2-month grace period after your credential expiration date. During this time (months 1-2), you can submit your renewal application without additional requirements.
Example: If your credential expires December 31, 2024, you will have January 1 - February 28, 2025: Grace period (no penalty). If you missed both your renewal deadline and the two-month grace period, you still have 10 months to renew your credential or certification. To do so, you will:
Complete your renewal application by logging the 40 CCE credits required for renewal. Please note: You do not need to upload CCE documentation when renewing, although your application may later be selected for a random audit. To stay prepared, we recommend you keep your CCE records in your personal files for at least six months after submission. You’re still welcome to upload them with your application if you prefer.
Submit your application with payment of a $100 USD late fee in addition to the standard renewal fee. The late fee supports the administrative processes required for managing late renewals.
